Hey everyone, I’ve been following the discussions and my heart really goes out to Deputy Kuredjian's family and colleagues. I wanted to touch on the during-shootout conditions, particularly what it must have been like for those on the ground. Can you imagine the fear and tension with lead just flying everywhere? It’s rough knowing Deputy Kuredjian couldn't be reached immediately because of the intense gunfire. I can’t stop thinking about the bravery it took for those officers to eventually try to get to him, knowing the risk they were taking. It’s awful that it ended the way it did, but their courage is something else. Would love to hear if anyone has insights into what protocols might have changed after this or if law enforcement adjusted their approach in similar situations since then. Stay safe, everyone.
It's moving how Deputy Kuredjian's colleagues remember him. I recently read about a memorial placed at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department for him, and it’s clear he was deeply respected and loved by those who worked with him. Losing a dedicated officer in such a manner is incredibly heavy on the heart, especially considering he was simply doing his job, serving his community. It's crucial that we reflect on the importance of communication between agencies during chaotic situations like this one. While it's understandable that high-pressure scenarios can spiral unpredictably, ensuring all parties are on the same page could save lives. Let's keep honoring those, like Deputy Kuredjian, who serve with bravery and respect while pushing for better practices to prevent such tragedies in the future. ?
