I've been following Abel Lopez's case for a while now, and one aspect that really stands out to me is the lack of surveillance footage or eyewitness accounts in the area where he was killed. It's puzzling, considering how busy that part of East Hollywood usually is. Were there no security cameras on any nearby buildings to capture even a snippet of what happened that night? I can't help but feel for his family and friends, who have been waiting so long for answers. Imagine the frustration knowing that something as simple as a working camera might have made all the difference in identifying a suspect or even providing a lead. It’s so important that neighborhoods prone to such incidents have adequate surveillance to deter crime or at least help in cases like this. If anyone knows more about the area's camera situation back in 2002 or if any footage from the night was ever recovered or analyzed, please share. Abel and his loved ones deserve justice, and any piece of information might help move the case forward.
