I was just reading about the Jose Gonzalez case again, and something stood out to me about the role of community support in the days following his tragic death. It's so important to remember how the local community rallied around his family during such a difficult time. Numerous vigils and gatherings were organized, not only to honor Jose's memory but also to stand against the violence that took his life far too soon. I can't imagine what his family and friends went through, but seeing people come together in solidarity must have been a source of strength. It's moments like these that remind us of the power of community in the face of tragedy. I hope that the Gonzalez family felt, and continue to feel, the warmth and support from those around them. Just heartbreaking to think about how someone so young was lost to senseless violence.
