Has anyone else looked into how community programs could play a role in preventing tragedies like what happened to Enrique Chavez? It seems like there aren't enough resources or safe spaces for teens in areas like Boyle Heights. Enrique was so young, with his whole life ahead of him; it's a loss that deeply affects not just his family but everyone in the neighborhood. Maybe if there were more after-school programs or community outreach efforts, we could see a reduction in this senseless violence.
