Just joined this discussion after looking at some old cases and really feeling for Ruben Del Rio's family. I can't imagine living with the uncertainty and unanswered questions for so long. One thing I keep wondering about is the role of community support in these cases. In neighborhoods like Boyle Heights, there’s often a divide between residents and law enforcement, but fostering a partnership could really make a difference in solving cases like Ruben's. I've read a bit on how sometimes local initiatives can bridge that gap, making residents feel safer about speaking up. Maybe if there were more efforts to build trust, we'd see a shift in the number of witnesses willing to come forward. It's unfortunate that fear can overshadow justice, but I hold onto hope that even after all these years, someone might find the courage to share what they know. And meanwhile, sending strength to Ruben's family and friends who live with this every day.
