Has anyone else been following the case of Albert Valadez? I can't stop thinking about how this young man's life was taken way too soon. I read that there were so many challenges with getting witnesses to come forward, which is just awful. It must be terrifying to live in an environment where speaking up feels too risky. I genuinely hope that with the passage of time, someone finds the courage to share what they know. It's deeply frustrating that his family has been left with so many unanswered questions for so long. Boyle Heights deserves better—more support and resources are definitely needed to prevent this from happening to other families. Albert's story stays with me, and I can only imagine how his loved ones must feel.
