I've been reading about the Covina tragedy, and one aspect that really sticks out to me is the bravery of the 8-year-old girl who opened the door that night. Despite suffering such a horrific injury, she survived, and I can't even begin to fathom the strength and courage that must have taken. The ripple effects of such an event must be unimaginable, especially for survivors and family members left to pick up the pieces. It's hard to even wrap my mind around how anyone moves forward and finds some semblance of peace after something like this. It's a testament to human resilience and the support networks that rally in the aftermath of such horrors. My heart goes out to everyone impacted by that night. I hope the community continues to find ways to support one another, and that there are spaces for healing and remembrance for all the lives forever changed.
