It's really devastating to think about how Bernard Madison's murder happened in the midst of such turbulent times for Baltimore. One aspect of this tragedy that I find particularly frustrating is the persistent issue of unsolved cases. It seems that despite increased efforts from law enforcement and community groups, there are still so many families left waiting for justice. I remember reading about how the city was pushing for more community policing and outreach during that period, trying to rebuild trust between residents and officers. Yet, here we are, with Bernard's case remaining one of the countless stories that slipped through the cracks. It makes you wonder what more can be done to ensure these victims and their families aren't forgotten. For those of you familiar with the area, what do you think can be realistically done to prevent these cases from going cold? Are there any community efforts or groups currently working on new strategies? My heart goes out to Bernard's family and friends who deserve closure and peace.
