Hey everyone, I just came across some old news segments and I’ve been thinking about the heartbreaking story of Matthew Tito Torres. What struck me when reading about his case is the immense courage it must have taken for anyone in the community to speak up. The danger of gang retaliation is a constant shadow, making it so difficult for witnesses to come forward. It's a reminder of how vulnerable communities are caught between wanting justice and fearing the consequences of helping law enforcement. I truly feel for the residents of King City during that time and have immense respect for those who risked so much to help bring the perpetrators to justice. Does anyone have thoughts on how communities can better support witnesses in cases like this?
