I’ve been following the Pettit case closely, and I just can’t shake the eerie details about the vintage cars Scott collected. I read somewhere that Brandon was eyeing them as a potential windfall, which adds another layer of tragedy. For someone like Scott, who dedicated so much to martial arts and teaching discipline, those cars were probably more than just valuables—they were part of his passion and legacy. To think they could have been at the center of such a grim motive is unsettling. My heart goes out to the community and everyone who knew the Pettits. It’s just so hard to fathom how something like this can happen in such a close-knit neighborhood. Has anyone else read any new developments about the retrial? I’m trying to keep updated and hope justice is truly served this time around.

Has anyone here followed the Pettit case closely? I'm still trying to wrap my head around the update about Brandon's conviction being overturned. What I keep thinking about is how incredibly strong Janet and Scott's friends and family must be, especially with every twist and turn in the case. Has anyone considered how the local community is reacting to all this? Modesto must still be reeling from the initial shock, and now with a retrial on the horizon, it seems like it's going to be another long journey for everyone involved. How do you all think the neighborhood has changed since that terrible night in 2013? And what kind of support might be available to help the community and Janet and Scott’s loved ones through this new chapter?
