Just wanted to bring some attention to an aspect of Carlos Miranda Perez's case that's been on my mind. I've been reading a lot about the dynamics in communities where these tragic events occur, and it seems like there’s a significant distrust between residents and law enforcement. It makes me wonder if this has played a role in why nobody has come forward with information.
Carlos’s case is an example of how fear can silence communities. It's not just about wanting justice but also about feeling safe enough to speak up. My heart goes out to Carlos’s friends and family, who must feel so helpless as this case remains unsolved. I can't imagine the frustration of losing someone you care about and feeling like there's no path to justice because people are too scared to say anything.
I get that the gang presence in areas like Historic South-Central LA complicates everything. People are rightfully worried about retaliation. But it just feels like there needs to be some way to break this cycle of silence. Maybe more community support initiatives or anonymous tips systems that actually feel secure? What does everyone think could help bridge that gap in trust?
