Just reflecting on the horrific incident at Ahalena Hookah Lounge, and it’s so hard to wrap my head around how a night out could turn so tragic. I can’t imagine the pain David Lawler’s family is going through—losing not just him, but also Terry and Kavin in the same cruel instant. I read about the vigil and it’s touching to see how the community came together to honor them, though I wish it were under better circumstances. It's infuriating that these young guys had their lives snatched away so senselessly, and for what? A supposed gang-related argument? It makes you wonder how we can all work together to stop this cycle of violence for good. My heart goes out to the families; I hope they find strength and justice in the difficult days ahead.
