Hey everyone,
I'm feeling particularly moved by the story of David Deminds, the 23-year-old who was tragically shot in Baltimore back in August 2017. Something that's been on my mind is how the lack of resolution in cases like his might affect the victims' families and friends in the long run.
When the justice system fails to provide answers, it must be incredibly difficult for those left behind. No closure, just constant questions and what-ifs. I'm curious about how we, as a community, could offer better support to these families. Have there been any successful grassroots movements or advocacy groups in Baltimore that focus on helping families dealing with unsolved cases?
I feel there has to be more we can collectively do beyond just pushing for more police involvement. Does anyone have insights into community-driven efforts that aim to heal and assist those touched by such tragic losses?
Sending thoughts and strength to all those who knew David.

I've been following the case of David Deminds, and I keep coming back to the larger issue of how these cases seem to become just another statistic in Baltimore. It’s incredibly frustrating to think about how many families, like David’s, are left seeking answers and closure. It feels like the community initiatives and efforts from law enforcement need a serious boost to make any lasting impact. I also can't help but wonder how many potential witnesses in cases like David's are too afraid to come forward or don't trust the system enough to do so. In neighborhoods plagued by violence, there seems to be this pervasive fear and sense of hopelessness that justice can ever be served. I really feel for David’s family—nobody should have to live with this kind of uncertainty and pain. I hope there’s a call to action that can finally start turning things around before more families have to suffer like this.
