Hi everyone, I've been deeply moved by the tragic case of Daniel Ellis and just wanted to share some thoughts, particularly about the impact on his children. I can't stop thinking about their journey growing up without their dad. It's so hard to comprehend how deeply their lives have been changed in one senseless moment. From what I've read about the trial, his family spoke a lot about the void left by Daniel's absence. It seems like his stepmother, Vickie Axelrod, is a rock for them, but no amount of strength can replace what they've lost. Does anyone know if there are any community support systems or funds set up to help his kids? I imagine they've got a tough road ahead, and every bit of support could make a difference. My heart truly goes out to them. It's just another reminder of how tragedies like this ripple far beyond what we initially see. If anyone has more info or knows how to help, I'd love to hear about it. Thanks.

I recently read about the Daniel Ellis case, and one part that really struck me was how the community around 27th Avenue and International Boulevard responded after the incident. From what I gather, there were several community vigils and gatherings to honor Daniel's memory. It's really moving to see how the neighborhood came together to support his family and shine a light on violence in the area. It's also frustrating that such tragic events continue to happen, and I can't help but think about the impact on everyone in that community, especially his family and young kids. They’ve shown incredible strength, and I hope initiatives in the area lead to positive changes. What are everyone’s thoughts on how communities can rally against such violence? Any ideas on how to support families like Daniel’s during these tough times?
