Does anyone else find it intriguing that James R. Warren went missing while heading out on the Red River? I’ve been digging into this case, and what catches my attention is how there’s hardly any trace of him after his boat was found. Was he familiar with boating on the Red River? Locals, do you think there's anything particular about this river that could make boating hazardous, like strong currents or hidden obstacles? If he was an experienced boater, an accident seems less likely. It’s puzzling that after all these years, still no concrete clues. If anyone knows more about the terrain or possible dangers of the Red River near Colfax, it might help us piece together what could have happened. Thoughts?
Does anyone have any experience kayaking or boating on the Red River around that time of year? I'm curious about the conditions James R. Warren might have faced when he disappeared in December 2004. I've read that river conditions can be unpredictable, especially with colder weather setting in. Wondering if this could have played a role in what happened to him. Anyone with local knowledge or similar experiences near Colfax? It’s just odd to me that his boat was found, but there's no clue about him, and it's been nearly two decades without new info. Maybe understanding more about the river could lead to some clues or fresh perspectives for his family. Thoughts?
