Has anyone else been struck by the bravery Richard "Big Will" showed that terrible night? I can't stop thinking about how he stepped into harm's way not just as part of his job, but out of genuine care for others. It's tragic when we lose someone who stands as a pillar in their community, someone who strives to make our spaces safer. It's devastating for his family and friends, and for everyone who looked up to him as a source of strength and kindness. His tragic loss underscores just how crucial it is to support those who put their lives on the line to protect us. How can we as a community honor Big Will's legacy beyond seeking justice in court? Any thoughts?
I can’t stop thinking about the gut-wrenching bravery Richard Williamson displayed that night. As someone who worked the same job for years, I know the intensity of a situation spiraling out of control, especially when you’re responsible for the safety of others. It’s unreal to picture Big Will stepping in, putting himself between others and danger—he truly must have been a giant figure in more ways than one.
The loss is immeasurable, and I can’t imagine the grief his family and friends are going through. It’s haunting how a night meant for celebration turned into a tragedy. I hope the community continues to rally around them and supports them through this difficult time. Stories like these are reminders of how crucial it is to have measures in place to protect both the public and those tasked with keeping us safe.
Hi everyone,
I can’t stop thinking about how devoted "Big Will" was to his job and his community. Hearing how he stepped in during that chaotic situation at Cal Skate shows the kind of person he was—always ready to help others. It's absolutely devastating to think about the price he paid for trying to keep everyone safe.
I’ve been following the case and noticed that not much has been mentioned about how security protocols might change because of this tragedy. Considering the heroic efforts Richard made, do you think this will lead to any changes in how security scenarios are handled at community events? It’s a tough subject, but I hope this ordeal brings about improvements that could prevent future incidents. Richard’s legacy of selflessness deserves to be honored somehow.
Sending my deepest condolences to Richard’s family and friends; his bravery will not be forgotten.
