It's been almost nine years since Canisha "Red" Davis was taken from her loved ones in such a terrible way, and I can only imagine how hard this must still be for her family and friends. The whole situation must be incredibly overwhelming for them. I recently went down a rabbit hole researching the case and came across some discussions about the role that Jamal Dezmondre Sean Hardy played once he was named a suspect in 2016. It just got me thinking—how does someone come to be identified in these situations? It seems like Hardy's identification must have given some hope, but also, the waiting must be unbearable.
Does anyone have thoughts on what goes into making sure that the right person is being charged? From what I've read, the evidence-gathering process sounds incredibly detailed and complex, but it makes me wonder if any details have slipped through the cracks or taken longer than expected. I really hope that the authorities are as thorough as possible because Canisha and her family deserve justice. If anyone has experience with how these investigations proceed, I'd be interested to learn more about what might be happening behind the scenes that the public isn't necessarily aware of.
Hello all,
I’ve been thinking a lot about the community initiatives that have sprung up since Canisha's tragic death. Does anyone else find it heartening to see how her friends and family have turned their grief into action by campaigning against gun violence in LA? It’s amazing to see how much love and determination Canisha’s community has to make sure her story isn't forgotten and that something positive comes from such a terrible event.
I ran across a grassroots organization started in her memory, which holds regular events to raise awareness about gun violence prevention. It's a compelling reminder of how important it is to keep these conversations alive, not just for Canisha but for all those affected by similar tragedies. If anyone has information on how to get involved or support such causes, I'd love to hear more.
Thinking of Canisha’s family today and sending them strength. Their resilience is a true testament to her impact on her loved ones. ❤️
Hey everyone,
I've been thinking a lot about Canisha "Red" Davis and what her friends and family must be going through. Something that struck me recently is how tight-knit her neighborhood seems to be, and how they've come together following such a tragic event. It must be incredibly difficult to move forward with such a significant loss hanging over the community. It's heartening, though, to see neighbors rallying around her family, showing up at vigils, and keeping her memory alive through mural paintings and community gatherings.
This collective support system speaks volumes about the impact Canisha had on those around her. While the search for justice continues, I really believe these expressions of solidarity can provide some comfort during this unbelievably tough time. I’m hopeful that, with everyone’s continued support and the efforts of the LAPD, her family will find the answers they need soon. Stay strong, everyone.
