Hey everyone, I’ve been following the case of Jose Guadalupe Ballardo, and something that keeps bothering me is the lack of security footage. With the incident happening near West 102nd Street and Prairie Avenue, I wonder if local businesses or homes might have surveillance cameras that could have captured something that night. Has there been any effort to collect footage from nearby areas? It seems like it could be a game changer, especially with reports of a dark-colored vehicle fleeing the scene. I know it might be a long shot given the time that’s passed, but sometimes these cameras can store data for quite a while. Hoping someone out there might be able to shed some light on this or give pointers on how we, as a community, might encourage local businesses to check their old recordings. Thinking of Jose’s family and how much finding the person(s) responsible could mean to them. Stay safe, everyone.
