Has anyone else noticed the gap between Angela Wilkerson's disappearance in 2007 and her case being added to NamUs in 2018? That seems like an unusually long period before adding someone to a national database. I'm curious if anyone knows why there would be such a delay. Could it be due to jurisdictional issues, lack of initial evidence, or maybe something else? In other missing persons cases I've followed, the time between the disappearance and inclusion in NamUs was typically much shorter. Wondering if anyone with a bit more insight into these processes can shed some light on this. It’s puzzling to me and might be a key piece in understanding what happened to Angela.

Did anyone ever establish why Angela was added to NamUs so late? More than a decade after she went missing seems unusual. I've been following her case and can't imagine how difficult that wait might have been for her family. I wonder if there was some new development that prompted the addition, or if it was just a backlog issue? It feels like a lot of cases could benefit from being listed sooner. Any insights on how the process generally works?
