I keep coming back to Victor Diaz's story and can't shake how complex and tragic it all is. I've been thinking about Kevin Henry, the other kid involved in the attempted robbery. It's haunting to imagine what he must be going through, having not only witnessed his friend's death but also being part of the unraveling of their plan. I wonder what his life has been like since that night. The choices they made were undoubtedly wrong, but it's saddening to think about young lives taking such dangerous paths. The impact on their families and the ripple effect through their community must have been profound. It makes me hope that initiatives aimed at guiding youth away from crime are given more attention and resources. How can we help prevent these scenarios before they begin?
