Has anyone heard anything new about the potential connection between this case and local gang activity? I know the LAPD mentioned early on that the Criminal Gang Homicide Division was handling the investigation, which makes me think they had some reasons to suspect gang involvement. It's frustrating that there hasn't been more clarity on this after all these years. My heart truly goes out to Mariano Flores’ and Arthur Merino’s families—living with so many unanswered questions must be incredibly difficult. I'm really hoping that renewed attention might help this case gain some traction. If anyone in the Florence neighborhood has seen or heard anything, even if it seems small, please consider contacting Crime Stoppers. It could make all the difference.
