I’ve been following the tragic case of Louis Ramos, and I can't shake off this unsettling piece: I read that investigators discovered surveillance footage from a nearby business that captured the moments leading up to the attack. It's chilling to think about how close they were to piecing it together, and the importance of those cameras can’t be understated. Just imagine if that footage hadn't been found—would they have ever pinpointed the suspect? This shows how crucial it is to have the right resources and community cooperation in solving such difficult cases. My heart aches for Louis’s family and friends who have had to endure the pain of these proceedings, but I hope that this discovery played a part in giving them some closure and justice for Louis.
