Did anyone else hear about the mysterious disappearance of Samuel Butler from Coffman Cove? One thing that's been on my mind is the strong currents in Clarence Strait. I remember reading about a guy who nearly got swept away in a similar area a couple of years back. I can’t help but wonder if those strong currents might have played a role in Samuel's canoe being found without him. Do any locals know if there have been issues with currents in that spot before? I just hope they can find some clues soon... it’s really got me on edge thinking about what might have happened out there. Stay safe, everyone!
Does anyone know if Samuel had any experience with early morning trips on the water? Leaving at 3:30 a.m. seems like an odd time unless it was something he did regularly. I’m wondering if he often navigated Clarence Strait at night or if this was unusual behavior for him. With no life jacket and the unpredictability of the water conditions, it makes me question how familiar he was with the area or if something unforeseen happened. Hopefully, more information surfaces soon. Keeping my fingers crossed for a safe outcome.
Has anyone else heard about the new details in Samuel Butler's case? I came across a tidbit that his canoe was found in an area known for strong currents and unpredictable weather conditions. It makes me wonder if he might have been caught off guard by changing conditions in Clarence Strait. The fact that he wasn't wearing a life jacket is just terrifying. It seems like an unfortunate accident could’ve happened so quickly. I think it's amazing how many good Samaritans joined the search, though. It's heartening to see such community solidarity in these tough situations. Here's hoping for a positive update soon.
