On May 18, 2018, 70-year-old Bonnie Lena Gitto vanished while visiting family in Greenville, North Carolina. A resident of Wilmington, she was staying with her granddaughter and great-grandchildren for the week. She was last seen on foot around 2:00 p.m. in the 100 block of Fairlane Road.
