I've been reading up on Juwan's case, and something that keeps coming to mind is the impact he clearly had on the people around him. Juwan wasn't just about sports; he was also a part of the Renaissance Academic Achievement program, which says a lot about his dedication to both his studies and his ambitions for the future. I can't imagine how hard it is for his family to know he was so close to reaching adulthood and pursuing his dreams. It makes you wonder if anyone who saw something that day or heard anything might eventually come forward. It's baffling that there's been a lack of substantial leads even with witnesses around. My thoughts are with Jessica Small and everybody who cared for Juwan. Justice has been too long coming, and I hope there's still a chance for new information to surface.
Hey everyone, I recently came across the incredibly sad and frustrating case of Juwan Undae Derrick Small. I can't stop thinking about it, especially knowing how his mom must feel missing Juwan at every milestone. He would’ve turned 25 this year. As a runner myself, I know how tight-knit and supportive the sports community can be, and it just breaks my heart that his potential was cut short so senselessly.
I stumbled on something while reading: Some folks believe he may have been targeted over a pair of shoes he had with him at the time. It's wild to think that something so trivial could have possibly led to this tragic loss. It's so important that we consider all angles, but without drifting into baseless speculation. I’ve seen posts suggesting jealousy might have been a factor, but wouldn’t someone have come forward by now if they knew something?
It just feels like someone, somewhere, knows more than they’re letting on. When will it be enough for them to finally speak up? Justice for Juwan should be a shared goal for everyone involved. Jessica Small's relentless fight for justice is incredibly admirable. I really hope that one day she'll get some closure and that whoever is responsible is found and held accountable. Let’s keep this case in the spotlight and support the family in their quest for answers.
