I’ve been following the Rowland Heights case and keep coming back to the 25 prior calls to the Morey residence. It’s just mind-boggling. It seems like there were so many warnings and missed opportunities to prevent such a tragedy. My heart goes out to Ernie Calzadilla’s family. I can only imagine how they feel knowing that this environment was so volatile. I wonder what those past disturbances were about and if there were signs that things could escalate to this level. It’s deeply troubling to think how easily domestic issues can spiral out of control, especially when alcohol is involved. I hope the family finds some peace and that the authorities provide more clarity about those past calls.
