Think of those who might’ve witnessed this event at the marijuana clinic or on the street; they surely haven’t forgotten that day either, and I hope they can find some peace. The shadow of gang culture in LA seems to cast a long darkness over individual lives and families, and this tragedy highlights how imperative it is to focus on initiatives that can de-escalate and prevent situations like these. My heart goes out to anyone touched by Erik's death. We need a stronger community network to support these young men before they make life-altering decisions.
