It's been over seven years since Deontae Ruffin was tragically taken from us, and I can't help but feel for his family and friends who are forced to relive this nightmare every day. What stands out to me is the fact that this was a case of mistaken identity. How devastating must it be to lose a loved one to such senseless and random violence?
It’s infuriating that despite the best efforts of the LAPD, this case is still unsolved. I read somewhere that detectives believed the suspects were gang members. I've always wondered if there's someone out there with information who hasn't come forward because they’re scared or unsure of what they know.
