I can't stop thinking about the weather conditions on the day Mason, Seth, Neal, and Marco's plane went missing. I've read that even a slight change in weather can drastically affect flight plans in Alaska's rugged terrain. Does anyone have insights on the weather reports around Swikshak Bay and Brooks Camp on 08/21/2010? I wonder if any sudden storms might have contributed to their plane going off course. It just seems so eerie that debris was found weeks later—what could've happened up there in such a remote area?

I recently came across an old missing persons case that piqued my interest—the disappearance of Mason McLeod, Seth Spradlin, Neal Spradlin, and Marco Alletto back in August 2010. Their plane vanished en route to Brooks Camp, and while debris was found over a month later, there's been no closure for the families. What's been puzzling me is the weather conditions reported around the time their plane went missing. I found a few articles indicating there were unusual weather patterns in the area. Could the sudden change in weather have taken the pilot by surprise? It's saddening to think that something as unpredictable as the weather could have put them in such a perilous situation. If any aviation experts could weigh in, it would be great to understand how significant this factor might have been.
