I've been reading about Julian Barragan's case and can't help but be struck by the timing of it all—just a day after the anti-violence rally. It's almost as if this senseless act was a cruel mockery of what the community was trying to prevent. Julian's murder must've left not just his family, but the entire neighborhood, reeling. The rally aimed for peace and unity, and then this happened; it's terrible. I hope the Santa Ana community keeps that same energy from the rally alive and continues to push for answers. It feels so unjust that no one has been held accountable yet. If anyone out there knows anything, no matter how small, I urge you to come forward. Julian's family and friends deserve some peace, and the community deserves to feel safe again. Love to everyone affected by this tragedy. Let's hope that someday soon we'll have some answers.
