Has anyone else looked into the area where Darrian was shot? I decided to map out the vicinity around the Western Ave and Peninsula Verde Dr intersection, and it’s puzzling. There are a couple of businesses nearby, and it seems like there should be at least some witnesses or maybe even security footage that could give more insight into what happened that night. I’m wondering if it was just bad timing, or if there’s possibly more to the location that might have contributed to the lack of progress in finding a suspect. It’s such a tragic loss, and Darrian’s family and friends deserve answers. It seems like the LAPD is putting in effort, but without community input or evidence, is it possible the location itself played into the challenges investigators are facing? What are everyone’s thoughts?
