Hey everyone, I've been diving deeper into the Steven Andrew Matts case, and something that's been bugging me is why his truck was left abandoned. If he was intending to keep traveling, why stop and leave it behind in Halsey, OR? It's like he got out and vanished into thin air. Was there something wrong with the truck that forced him to leave it? Or did he meet someone who convinced him to go a different way? From what I understand, there was nothing found with the vehicle that signaled foul play or mechanical issues. It just makes me think he either left in a hurry or had a reason to believe he was coming back. Anyone here know if there were any attempts to find surveillance footage where the truck was found, or could there be more leads from the credit card use that aren't public? ?
Has anyone else been curious about the specific timing of Steven's last phone call to his employer? It's interesting that it was on September 21 and seemingly out of place, given that he vanished shortly after. I wonder if there's any significance to that call, like was it just routine or was he signaling something without directly saying it? There could be some subtle clue in who he spoke to or what was discussed. Also, considering his truck was found but not him, it almost feels deliberate, like maybe he wanted to leave but something went wrong. Thoughts?
