I’ve been following DeAndre Dercell Hughes’ case, and my heart goes out to his family and friends. I wanted to touch on the role of his mother, Barbara Pritchett-Hughes. It’s incredible how she’s taken such immense personal tragedy and turned it into advocacy and activism. Losing two sons to gun violence is unimaginable. Her efforts to create a nonprofit organization and raise awareness show immense strength. It’s a testament to how powerful love and determination can be, even in the darkest of times. I can’t help but think of the countless families who’ve benefitted from her work. It’s crucial that we support such initiatives, as they play a big role in community healing and change. Does anyone have any updates on the nonprofit’s work or know how we can get involved or support their mission? Every little bit helps in keeping memory alive and pushing forward the fight against violence.
