Hey everyone. I’ve been following the case of Rogelio Torres II for a while now, and something that stands out to me is how this tragic incident has highlighted the issues with gang violence in Hayward. A detail that’s often mentioned is the bullet casings found along the streets, stretching over half a mile. It just paints such a vivid picture of how dangerous and chaotic that night must have been. I’ve been wondering about what law enforcement could be doing differently. It's tough because there seem to be so many layers to unravel with the lack of any suspect descriptions even now, so many years later. It's frightening to think about how easy it was for this to happen and for the people responsible to just disappear into thin air. For Rogelio’s family and friends, I can’t imagine how painful it must be to not have closure or justice for their loved one. I hope that with continued pressure and investigation, there will be some breakthrough that will finally bring some peace to those who miss him every day. If anyone here in the community has any ideas or insights into how these complex cases are handled, it would be great to discuss them.
