Does anyone else feel uneasy about how Colbert chose to represent himself during the trial? I can't even begin to imagine how gut-wrenching it must have been for Carina and Jennabel's family to sit there and listen to him speak, knowing what he did to them. It seems like such a surreal decision that could have impacted the proceedings in unexpected ways. I’m just wondering if this maneuver allowed him to confront the evidence and testimonies against him more personally. The audacity is just beyond words. It’s a small comfort that justice was ultimately served, but this detail really packs an emotional punch given the circumstances. Sending love to the Mancera and Anaya families as they continue to navigate life after such a profound loss.
