Has anyone looked into the conditions around the time Nestor went missing? I read somewhere that the desert heat in July can reach up to 110°F or more, which is incredibly dangerous for anyone making the journey on foot. It makes me wonder if the group had enough water and supplies. If anyone has info on what the weather was like around Altar during that period or if there were other people who went missing around the same time, it might help piece together what happened. It just seems like such a risky time to make that trek.

Hey everyone, I've been thinking about the case of Nestor, who went missing back in 2012 while trying to cross into the U.S. from Altar, Sonora. I was wondering if anyone has any insights into the area around Altar? I've read that it's a common starting point for many trying to cross the border, but I imagine that also makes it riskier, maybe due to increased patrols or presence of illegal groups. Does anyone know if there were reports of heightened border security or any incidents around that time? Could something like that have impacted his group's plans or routes? Any input would be appreciated as it's always helpful to understand the circumstances surrounding these cases. Thanks!
