I've been following the case of Greta Kurian ever since it happened, and it's just been so devastating to think about those two little kids left without parents. It's hard to wrap my mind around the fact that there might have been warning signs with Kyle's past behavior that could have prevented this from happening. I've been wondering about the hiring processes for police officers. How was someone with such a history allowed to wear the badge again? This isn't about blaming the department solely, but it feels like a systemic issue that needs addressing. It makes me think about how crucial it is for communities and law enforcement agencies to pay close attention to the mental health and backgrounds of those in positions of power, to hopefully prevent tragedies like this in the future. My heart goes out to Greta's friends and family, and I hope those children find the support and love they need as they grow up.
