Hi everyone,
I've been following the case of Dahvish Gilliam, and something that's been on my mind is the location where it happened - Floyd Avenue. A lot of people are familiar with that part of Modesto, and it's hard to believe something so terrible could occur there. I keep thinking about her friend, Rochelle Marie Riddley, who was there during the shooting. I can’t even imagine the shock and trauma she must have experienced. It must be so difficult for her to cope with those memories while supporting Gilliam’s family, especially her two kids.
Does anyone have insights into this area or the kind of safety concerns residents have had in the past? Sometimes these details can reveal more about what could have led to such a tragic incident. I really hope more people who might have seen or heard something feel encouraged to help. Dahvish's loved ones deserve answers, and the community owes it to them to help whenever possible.
Stay safe, everyone.
Does anyone else find it strange how there’s seemingly no footage from nearby security cameras that night? Considering it happened just before midnight, you’d think there’d be at least a random CTV grab from somewhere around Floyd Avenue. Even if it doesn't show the shooter, it might catch a suspicious car or person in the area. It just feels like a case that could be helped so much by the little things if only we had more detail. My heart goes out to Dahvish’s family, especially her kids—I can't imagine the pain they must be going through. With so little movement in the case, I wonder if those with security cameras might look through their footage from that night. Any tiny clue could make a huge difference to the investigation!
I’ve been following Dahvish Gilliam’s case closely since it happened, and my heart goes out to her family and friends, especially her beautiful kids who are now without their mom. I’ve been thinking a lot about how easily it could have been someone else in that house—does anyone else wonder if the shooter knew she would be there? It’s chilling to think about the randomness of it all if it wasn’t targeted. Listening to her friend, Rochelle, recount the events of that night is haunting; it’s just so senseless. Maybe it’s just me, but I keep hoping there’s someone out there who knows more than they think they do. Even the smallest details can spark a lead. Modesto Police are doing their best, but they need help cracking this open. If you live in the area or know anyone who does, remind them that even an anonymous tip could make a world of difference for Dahvish's justice. The community needs to get all hands on deck for the sake of her kids.
