I was reading about Maurice McKinzy’s case, and something that really struck me was his genuine dedication to coaching basketball at John C. Fremont High School. It's evident he had a big heart for the youth in his community, and it's just so tragic that he was taken away in such a senseless manner. Growing up in the same neighborhood and coming back to uplift the next generation shows the kind of man he was. It's truly difficult to grasp how the investigation hasn’t yielded more answers when such a beloved figure is lost. I wonder if there are ex-students or community members who might have noticed something or have information they might not realize could be significant. My heart goes out to his family and kids, who must miss his presence so deeply. It’s a somber reminder of the violence that continues to plague communities and how it robs us of people who are making a real, positive difference. Let's hope someone comes forward with the information needed to bring justice for Maurice.
