Has anyone else given thought to the significance of Meshell's missing Oldsmobile Delta 88 in this case? The fact that the car was found abandoned the very next day is baffling, to say the least. It makes me wonder if there was more to the vehicle's theft than just transportation. Could the car have played a crucial role in this crime? Or was it a desperate attempt by the perpetrator(s) to cover their tracks by removing evidence from Meshell's home? Given that it's been 30+ years, it's frustrating to see such a major clue go unexplained. My heart goes out to Meshell’s children and family who still have to live with the mystery surrounding their loved one's tragic death. I'm hoping someone out there might remember something or come across new information that could provide clarity on what happened back in 1991. As always, if you know anything, reaching out could really help the investigation.
Hey everyone,

I came across the case of Luther Meshell and can't shake the thought of how vulnerable he must have been in his own home. It's really disturbing to think about his situation—being wheelchair-bound—and how this horrific crime took place right where he should have felt safest.

I wonder if there might have been anyone who noticed something strange around his apartment or had some interaction with him before that awful night. Small communities often hold pieces of the puzzle without even realizing it. It's been such a long time, but even the smallest memory could be significant.

If anyone here has connections to Shreveport or knew Luther, I'm curious if there were any local rumors at the time or folks who might have seen something out of the ordinary. Sending my thoughts to his family, who must carry this unimaginable weight every day. Let's keep this conversation going and see if we can piece anything together.

Hoping for justice.
I was reading about the tragic case of Luther Meshell, and one thing that really stands out to me is how someone could commit such a violent act against a person who was already so vulnerable. It’s devastating to think about the fear and helplessness he might have felt. I can't get over the fact that his car, a 1977 Oldsmobile Delta 88, was found just a day later, abandoned. It feels like a significant clue, yet nothing ever came of it. I wonder if anyone approached that complex shortly after the murder and saw something suspicious but never realized its importance. Maybe now, after all these years, someone’s memory might be jogged, especially with the right prompting. Luther’s family deserves answers and some kind of peace, and I really hope the community keeps pushing for any piece of information to come to light. What do other folks think about the car being left so soon after the murder? Could it be a sign that the perpetrator was local?
