Has anyone else been following the impact this case has had on the local community, especially concerning the pressure to shut down La Oficina? I really feel for Alvaro Palma's family. It's terrible losing someone you love under such shocking circumstances, and then having to fight for change while grieving. I’m curious about how these discussions are shaping safety policies in other nightlife areas in SF. Does anyone think that revoking the bar’s permit might set a precedent for other places with similar issues? It’s encouraging to see the neighborhood coming together, but I can't imagine how tough this whole ordeal must be for the ones who were close to Alvaro.
