I've been thinking about Troy Lafayette Washington's case a lot lately, especially the fact that his shooting seems to be a part of a concerning trend in the Vermont-Slauson area. The most troubling part is how the case still remains unsolved. It's tough to grasp how someone could do something so violent and then just disappear without a trace, especially when it’s clear there was intent behind the attack. I can't help but feel for Troy’s family and friends, who must be searching for answers every single day. It’s a huge reminder of the work that still needs to be done to improve safety and bring justice to communities plagued by violence. If anyone in the area saw or heard something on that day, even if it seems minor, please consider speaking up. Every piece of information might be that final puzzle piece detectives need. Let's hope for some breakthroughs soon and keep Troy's memory alive as we push for change.
