I've been thinking about the role that community dynamics played in Makiya Walls' tragic case. It’s so distressing to see how disputes can spiral into such devastating consequences. Victorville seems to have been deeply shaken by the whole incident, and it's clear that Makiya was caught in a situation that had nothing to do with her. It sounds like there was already tension escalating between these families, but it makes you wonder why measures weren't taken sooner to de-escalate things before they reached this horrific point. I hope this serves as a wake-up call to communities everywhere about the importance of addressing conflicts before they become unmanageable. Makiya deserved so much better, and my heart goes out to her family. Her life was so full of promise and she was taken far too soon.
