I can't stop thinking about how this must be affecting Rena's children. Losing both parents under such traumatic circumstances is unimaginable. It's been heartening to see how the Mount Shasta community has come together to support them, but I can't help but worry about their long-term emotional well-being. Kudos to the First Baptist Church for stepping up, but it reminds me how crucial it is for us, as a community, to continue being there beyond the initial shock. If anyone has suggestions or knows of resources that could help, especially with counseling for the kids, please share. It's important that they know they're not alone in this.
