Has anyone else been closely following the tragic case of Alexis Jean Lopez? My heart really goes out to her family, especially her young children. I can’t imagine the pain they’ve had to endure. I find it particularly upsetting how things could go so wrong due to mistaken identity. It's infuriating to think that Alexis lost her life because of someone else's vendetta. It's somewhat of a relief that Jacob Jamal Steir was ultimately charged and sentenced, though it doesn’t bring her back. Knowing that the investigation is still ongoing and more arrests might be made gives me hope that there's still room for justice. Has there been any further information about the associate who asked Steir for the gun? I keep thinking about how a hasty or irrational decision can have such devastating consequences for the people left behind. Just hoping that as the case progresses, there will be more answers and a bit more peace for those affected.
