I've been following the tragic case of Donald McNeil, and my heart goes out to his family. It's so unsettling to think about how long he went missing before his body was discovered in that abandoned house. The 7th Ward has such a history of violence, and it makes me angry that neighborhoods like this continue to struggle with safety issues. One aspect that really caught my attention is how quickly Tyrone Steele was caught for other crimes, yet there was a struggle to pin Donald's murder on him. It makes you wonder about the kinds of evidence needed to close a case effectively and how some cases seem to fall through the cracks. For the family, not having that closure must be a daily pain. Does anyone know if there's been any recent developments in trying to pursue justice for Donald? It just feels like there’s still so much unanswered, and families shouldn't have to bear that burden alone. Keeping them in my thoughts and hoping they find some peace eventually.
