Have any of you looked into the environmental factors around the area where Shannon disappeared? Between the rugged terrain and the wildlife out there in Trinity County, it makes you wonder how these aspects could play into his disappearance. There’s a lot of forested area, and it seems quite easy to get turned around, especially if someone is not in the right state of mind. I read somewhere that October nights can get pretty chilly in the mountains – I’m thinking without shoes or a phone, it would be daunting to navigate. Also, anyone familiar with the local wildlife? Could it pose a threat? The fact that exhaustive searches haven’t turned up anything might suggest he could have wandered farther off the beaten path. It's puzzling how someone could vanish in such a dramatic fashion, leaving no trace behind. Just trying to wrap my head around how extensive those search efforts really were, and if they could have missed something with all the natural obstacles. Thoughts?
