Living near College Avenue myself, I was stunned when I heard about the incident involving Cheryl and Mark Williams. It's just so tragic what happened. I've walked past their house countless times and never imagined something so devastating would unfold there. It's alarming that no one seems to have known them well, which can sometimes shield signs of trouble from being noticed. I'm thinking maybe someone else in the community recognized subtle signs of distress but didn't realize the severity. It makes me wonder about the kinds of struggles that went unnoticed. I keep thinking about what we, as a community, could have done differently to perhaps reach out or be more aware. Such a sad loss, and my thoughts are with those who were close to Cheryl, even if from a distance. I hope this serves as a reminder to check in on neighbors more often. You never know what someone might be going through behind closed doors.
