Has anyone looked into Daniel Sekula's ties to local wildlife or cattle thefts in the area? With him being a rancher, I wonder if there's any chance his disappearance might be linked to something happening around his property. Especially considering the proximity to the border, could there be potential threats from cross-border activities that have gone unnoticed? I know it's a bit of a speculative angle, but since he's been missing for so long without any solid leads, maybe it's worth exploring different aspects of his daily life. Hoping that fresh perspectives can stir up some new ideas or leads.
I've been following Daniel Sekula's case since it first surfaced, and I can't shake the feeling that his connection to the ranching community might hold some clues. While there hasn't been much released about his day-to-day activities, I wonder how well local ranchers knew him or if he mentioned any odd behavior or encounters on the property. Given the vast and open landscapes in Hidalgo County, it's possible that someone familiar with these areas might have seen or heard something unusual around the time he disappeared. If any fellow ranchers or locals from the area are here, have you heard any chatter or noticed anything odd during early 2016? Sometimes people know more than they realize, and a small memory could be what finally brings some answers.
I've been following the case of Daniel Sekula for a while, and there's an aspect that keeps bothering me—why did it take so long for the missing persons report to be filed? I understand families sometimes hold out hope that their loved one will return or make contact, but a few months seems quite a stretch, especially given the potential dangers near the border. Did the family receive any warnings or threats before his disappearance? Or was there something else that delayed their decision to contact authorities? I can't help but feel there might be more to this timeline that we haven't been told yet. Anyone else have thoughts on this or similar experiences with missing persons timelines?
