I came across this case recently, and it's been weighing on my mind. I'm particularly struck by the role of Daniel Garcia's sister in leading to his arrest. It must have taken immense courage for her to report her own brother to the police after he confessed to such a horrific crime. I can't imagine how heart-wrenching it must have been for her, caught between familial loyalty and doing what's morally right. I think we often overlook the trauma that family members of perpetrators go through. While justice is crucial, it's important to remember that they're dealing with a profoundly difficult situation as well. I hope she's finding support during this time, alongside the families of Miranda and Gabriela. Such unimaginable loss and pain for everyone involved. ?
